This airport is honestly fine. I came from Cancun to this airport as a stop over to get to Baltimore. The customs process was super long. The workers were moderately nice though. Getting our bags took a while as well so even though we had an hour and 45 minute layover, by the time we got to the gate, we were already boarding. There’s a great selection of food Here and regular shops. It would be nice to arrive early and be able to hang out. I love the area with different pieces of art from people that work at the airport. That was a super unique touch and I like how it was celebrating different skills of the workers there.

Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport is a modern and fairly well-organized airport. Conveniently located near Miami, it serves as a good alternative to the larger hub. Security checks are usually quick, and the selection of restaurants and shops is decent. The airport is clean, signage is clear, and getting around is easy, making travel smooth and comfortable.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is a busy and well-structured airport, offering good signage and organization that makes it easy to navigate. FLL (Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport) is a good choice if you're flying in or out of South Florida and want to avoid the chaos of some of the bigger hubs. One thing I really appreciate is how the Red Coach buses stop right between Terminals 1 and 2 -- super convenient if you're heading to other parts of the state.

The airport itself strikes a nice balance: not too big, not too crowded. It's easy to navigate, security lines tend to move fairly quickly, and the layout is straightforward. Compared to other Florida airports like Orlando (MCO), Miami (MIA), Jacksonville (JAX), and Tampa (TPA), FLL comes out ahead in my book, especially in terms of ease of use and general comfort.

That said, it's not extraordinary. Food options are decent but nothing to rave about, and the terminals could use a bit more seating in the gate areas. Still, it's a solid international airport that gets the job done efficiently, with a laid-back Florida vibe.

Would probably fly through here again.

Smooth experience! TSA was quick, signage was clear, and plenty of food options. Clean restrooms and friendly staff made everything easy. One of the better airports to fly from in South Florida.
